Fan Expo Wrap Up

Hello Everyone,
On August 23rd at 5AM, my family packed up our van and headed for Toronto. Part of the reason was for a short family vacation in the Big Smoke. The other reason was to attend the Fan Expo as an exhibitor in Artist Alley.

We got there okay and I set up my booth. I got to spend a day with each of my three daughters as we manned the booth and try to get some sales.

I am happy to announce that we made enough to cover the table, the hotel, the trip, the food and the ridiculous amount of prints that I made for the event... plus... I got to buy and trade for lots of goodies.
I finally got to meet Bobbi Chiu and Marco Bucci http://www.marcobucci.com/ in person. That was fun. I got a few Bucci prints that will be in our office at the college shortly.

I also met Esad Ribic. His original artwork was incredible. I only wish that I could have afforded an original piece. There were no prints. :(

I also got a chance to meet and talk to Tony Moore https://www.facebook.com/tonymooreillustration , the comic book artist behind the Walking Dead. I got to give him a copy of my book, the Art of Richtoon and my Rick Grimes Print. He gave my daughter Catherine a cool zombie patch. I was hoping to get a Zombie Jaws poster that was excellent. But they were sold out by the time I git there. I did pick up the Michonne poster though. Very happy about that one.
I also met a fantastic artist by the name of Mike Boldt . I really enjoy his prints. I picked up four plus his sketchbook. You can see his work here:

Probably the highlight of the night for me was when I was tidying up the booth on Sunday and I heard. "I really like your stuff, man. It's really good" I turned around to thank the gentleman only to find out it was Aaron Douglas. He is a great actor, mostly known for his work on Battlestar Galactica.  I was in shock!  I told him how much I liked his character in the show and he said that he was in Toronto shooting Hemlock Grove. I offered him one of my books. And I was on cloud nine for about two hours after that. Here is a picture!! Woo-hoo!!

Aaron even took the time to tweet and email me about the book. What a class act!

I have renewed the table for next August!

I will have to make other posts of all of the stuff I got and the pictures we took.

What do I do now?

I think that I have too many sites. That's my opinion. And to be quite honest, I no longer know how to manage it all anymore. Let's see what I got for starters"

- There is this blog of course: http://richtoon.blogspot.com I haven't posted here in over a year.

- I have a DA account. http://richtoon.deviantart.com/ This is another place that I don't post a lot either. What do I post on the blog vs the DA site?

- The place I spend most of my time is probably on Facebook.https://www.facebook.com/rich.lauzon
I post the odd image here and there.

- I also am concentrating my drawing time on my webcimic, http://SpacePestRemoval.com  I also have a Facebook Fan Page https://www.facebook.com/pages/SpacePestRemovalcom/206455429392681
I am just getting around to posting stuff in there. Not quite sure what yet... Mostly the odd creature doodle.
I even have a page for my book, the Art of Richtoon: https://www.facebook.com/pages/The-Art-of-Richtoon/162976880408841 Sadly, I haven't done anything in there.

I also have a twitter feed: https://twitter.com/RichLauzon I mostly post my links to the latest comic strips from Space Pest Removal.

And I now have an Etsy store too! Not really a social network thing/issue as a not so subtle announcement. http://www.etsy.com/shop/Richtoon

How am I supposed to juggle all of this?

Any suggestions would be awesome. This will be a multi-social-network-post.
